Short outride in the forest The horses are ready to take you to the wonders of the Finnish Lapland. Trip is also suitable for beginners. Arctic Sleddog Centre

Come and visit our Arctic Sleddog Centre on the premises of Harriniva! There are over 400 friendly husky dogs waiting for you in different home-yards from puppies to seniors. On the guided tour in the kennel you will receive information about the history, the training and the life of the huskies.

Canoeing Trip

Come and join us on a canoe trip on the beautiful river Muonionjoki! The canoeing starts from the shores of the lake Muonionjärvi located in the Muonio village and proceeds across the lake towards the river. During the trip we will stop on a small island to have coffee and sandwiches by a campfire. After the break we will return to the lakeside from where we will be transferred back to Harriniva. The trip is suitable for beginners.

Hiking Trip and Hut Overnight in Wilderness

Before starting the hiking trip the guide will give information about the two days and give out equipment. Everybody needs to carry their own equipment + sleepingbag and mattress, small backpack and some food. We start the hiking trip from Harriniva with our guide and our backpack to the forest. During the hiking we will have a break with picnic snack. We will hike to a nice place by lake or by river and set our tents there. Everybody can also try fishing if they wish to do so. Dinner is prepared by the fire. We will overnight in the tents with our sleepingbags. In the morning guide will prepare a breakfast and after that hiking back to Harriniva. If the weather is suitable we will conquer the nearby fell Olos. The excursion is suitable for adults and children with normal fitness.

Hiking With Huskies

This hiking trip with husky dogs starts from the Arctic Sleddog Centre, on the premises of Harriniva. There are over 400 friendly husky dogs from puppies to seniors waiting for you. On the guided tour of the kennel you will receive information about the history, the training and the life of the huskies. The guide chooses the huskies to take with to the hiking trip and starts the hiking with you. During the excursion you can admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape, while your guide gives you information about the unique flora and fauna of Lapland.

On Tuesdays at 11am and Fridays at 12pm(For groups on request)

River Rafting Adventure

Come and join us on an unforgettable rafting adventure on the MuoniojokiRiver! After receiving the rainwear, helmet and life jacket, the journey starts from Harriniva. We will be rafting for 30 km paddling through many exciting rapids along the Finnish/Swedish border river. Halfway we will land on the shore and prepare a delicious picnic lunch. Finally we will come ashore in Reponiemi, from where we will be transferred back to Harriniva. Every participant will receive a rafting diploma.

River Rafting in Muonio

Come and join us on an outstanding experience of the White River Rafting! After receiving the rainwear, helmet and life jacket, the journey starts from Harriniva and takes you through 4 exciting rapids on the MuoniojokiRiver, the Finnish/Swedish border river. Coffee/tea and cake will be served and a rafting diploma given to every participant after the rafting. The trip is completely safe and suits people of all ages.

Riverboat Trip

Come and join us on our relaxing riverboat trip on Muoniojoki. From the river you have a unique view of the charming Muonio village, the Lappish country side and the fells of Pallas and Olos and also of a lake, which is a bird preservation area.

Salmon Fishing on the River Muonionjoki

Salmons swim from the sea up to the Muonionjoki River which is the peaceful boundary river between Finland and Sweden. Today it is considered to be one of the best salmon rivers in Finland. Not only salmon, but also grayling and trout belong to the stock of fish of this lovely river. The Holiday Centre, located by the river, rents boats and equipment. We also arrange courses in salmon fishing with a row-boat and in catching brown trout in the brooks.

Short Quad Bike Adventures

QUAD BIKE SAFARI  Our quad bike safari takes you through the beautiful landscape of Lapland. The safari starts with the driving instructions and safety rules. During the safari we will have a coffee break by a campfire.

MIDNIGHT QUAD BIKE SAFARI (On request)Quad biking is an excellent way to discover the Lappish wilderness and to experience the midnight sun of summer or the Northern Lights in the beginning of autumn.

QUAD BIKE SAFARI TO A REINDEER FARM Before starting this exciting safari our guides will give you the driving instructions and safety rules. Our safari takes you through the beautiful landscape of Lapland to Lapinkartano reindeer farm in Torassieppi village. Reindeer husbandry has always been a part of Torassieppi. At the reindeer farm you will receive information about the reindeer husbandry and old traditions in this area. Lunch will be served in a traditional tepee by open fire.

Visiting a Reindeer Farm

The excursion starts with a transfer by coach to Torassieppi (25 km), which is a unique Lapp village with 150 years old houses. The Lapland manor will be presented with a handicraft exposition of the hostess. In a small museum we will see an interesting slide show telling about the year of the reindeer. During the day we will try the Lapp lasso throwing and visit the reindeer in an enclosure. Coffee and cake will be served in a teepee by a campfire.
