Day 1 -
Arrival

Once your plane has landed in Kittila, transfer to the amazing Snow Village and locate your cosy log cabin where you will spend seven nights of your holiday to see the Northern Lights in Finland. For dinner tonight, make your way to the nearby restaurant which serves up delicious gourmet meals made with the finest locally sourced ingredients.

Day 2 -
Snowmobile Safari

After breakfast, your guide will provide you with equipment and instructions on how to drive a snowmobile. The technique is so easy that even complete novices will get the hang of it. Spend two thrilling hours riding across frozen lakes and snowy plains, and admire the spectacular scenery as you whiz past. Afterwards, head back to your cabin and keep your eyes on the skies for a possible appearance of the Northern Lights over Finland tonight.

Day 3 -
Cross Country Skiing

The Snow Village is surrounded by mile upon mile of well-kept cross country ski trails, and this morning you can learn how to master the basics of this fun pastime with the help of an expert tutor. Later, head out independently to explore the maze of trails that lead through the silent forests. Upon your return, warm up with a soothing sauna, and don’t forget to look out for the Northern Lights above Finland when darkness falls.

Day 4 -
Northern Lights Snowmobile Safari

Today you can continue to use your cross country ski equipment to explore more of the landscape that surrounds the Snow Village. After dinner this evening, your hunt for the Northern Lights over Finland resumes with a snowmobile ride out into the wilderness. Enjoy hot drinks and snacks at a traditional Lappish hut and listen to captivating tales about the Aurora before returning to your cabin.
Please note driving licence is required to drive the snowmobile.

Day 5 -
Ice Fishing and Night in the Snow Hotel

This morning on your Northern Lights in Finland holiday you can master the skill of ice fishing. Your guide will help you to drill a hole in the frozen lake and you can see what you can catch – you might want to cook your fish for lunch! This evening, wrap up warm and head to the Snow Hotel where you can indulge in a delicious three-course meal served in the ice restaurant. Later, settle into your snow room and snuggle up in the thermal sleeping bags provided for an exciting night.

Day 6 -
Husky Safari
|
After breakfast, meet a pack of excitable huskies that are raring to take you on an epic safari across the snowy wilderness. Following instructions from your guide, set off on a thrilling ride and feel the breeze on your face as you admire the pretty scenery. After a short stop for hot drinks, continue your husky sledding adventure back to the Snow Village and see if you can spot the Northern Lights over Finland this evening.

Reindeer Safari

Make the most of the final full day of your Northern Lights in Finland trip with a leisurely reindeer safari through sweet-smelling pine forests. Gain a valuable insight into the importance of reindeer to the indigenous people from a guide who will accompany the excursion. Later, return to the Snow Village for a relaxing sauna and a delicious hot meal, and keep watching the skies in case you see the Northern Lights above Finland one last time.
