Spend one of your nights at the Snow Village with dinner in the Ice Restaurant

The Snow Village is located almost 200km above the Arctic Circle which means you will be able to participate in lots of winter activities. Below is an itinerary that has been put together to enable you to get the most from your holiday with an activity on every day but if you would prefer to change anything please advise our sales consultants and you will be advised of any other activities that are available.

Meals can be taken in the log restaurant but if you require an alternative you can either take a taxi or hire a car to get you to the nearest town or village.

On one of the nights you will spend a night in one of the spectacular snow rooms which remain between -2 to -5 Celsius but you will remain warm in your specially designed sleeping bag. Also included is a welcome drink in the Ice Bar and a three course dinner in the Ice Restaurant.

Day 1 - Arrive into Kittila (Sunday)

After your arrival into Kittila you will be transferred to your cabin for a seven night duration including breakfast.

Day 2 - Snowshoe excursion (Monday)

Snowshoeing is a new way of enjoying the snow. Your guide will show you how to use the modern snowshoes and give you some tips before you go off exploring the beautiful surroundings and scenery.

Day 3 - Cross Country Ski School (Tuesday)

Sporty outdoor activity which will give you a new experience for getting around in the snow. Your skiing instructor will show you the right technique and advise you on all the aspects of skiing. You will have the equipment at your disposal until 1600 the following day.

Day 4 - Evening Snowmobile Safari in search of the Northern Lights

This relaxing night snowmobile safari takes you under the Lappish night sky. Enjoy the journey to a traditional Lappish hut where you will be offered hot drinks and snacks around an open fire. While cooking a sausage you will hear stories about Lapland and the mystical northern lights - some facts, some fiction. Left amazed by the tales you will head back and if you are lucky, the lights will come out to play.

Please note driving licence is required to drive the snowmobile.

Day 5 - Ice Fishing Experience with Lunch and night at the snow village. (Thursday)

Frozen lake, fresh air, scooter driving (licence required) and a lunch break. You will drive down to the lake, drill a hole through the ice and try to catch a few fish. Afterwards you will have a tasty lunch together with the guide before driving back to the snow village. This evening you will have a welcome drink from an ice glass followed by a three course dinner in the ice restaurant before spending your evening in a double snow room (upgrades to a suite available on request)

Day 6 - Snowmobile safari (Friday)

This is a pure driving safari. Two hours of snowmobiling through the snowy forests and across the frozen lakes is great fun for beginners as well as for experienced drivers. There will be a couple of short stops during our drive.

Day 7 - Husky Safari (Saturday)

Siberian huskies are waiting for you at SnowVillage. They are filled with energy and excitement when they hear guests arriving. Soon you will share the excitement with the dogs and after a musher has given you driving instructions, you are ready to have a go with your own team of paw power. During the pause at a small, cosy husky farm you can have a cup of hot drinks and have a snack inside a warm hut. After the break you continue with the huskies back to SnowVillage. This way mushers will introduce you to the life of a husky dog and afterwards you can return home with new memories.

Day 8 - Departure

Transfer back to the airport.
