The enveloping scenery presents a fairytale setting for you to really absorb the wintry delights during your adventure week in the snow. At the end of an exciting day outdoors you can look forward to an inviting sauna and flavoursome Lappish meals at the hotel. Day 1 -
Arrive at Kittila

Transfer from Kittilä airport to the hotel. Enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant and prepare for the following day’s activities.

Day 2 -
Reindeer Safari
|
In the morning, learn about the activities on your adventure week in the snow before filling up on a tasty breakfast. We will then travel to a reindeer farm where you can find out about these remarkable animals that are so significant to Finland. Next, embark on a 12 kilometre safari over beautiful countryside, stopping off for lunch in a traditional tepee. Following your reindeer safari, we journey by bus to one of Finland’s largest ski resorts at Levi for a guided tour of the area.

Day 3 -
Cross Country Skiing
|
|
For a real adventure during your week in the snow, practice the ‘herringbone’ and the ‘diagonal slide’ as you learn cross country skiing techniques on the tracks which run from the hotel. After lunch there is free time for you to explore independently, go shopping for souvenirs or even try out snowshoeing.

Day 4 -
Lainio Snow Village

Zoom over the deep snow as you drive to Lainio Snow Village in Finland on a powerful snowmobile. This incredible village lies between Ylläsjärvi and Kittilä and is made completely from snow and ice. Marvel at the striking Snow Hotel, enjoy a drink in one of the bar’s ice glasses or sample the food in the Ice Restaurant. The impressive art sculptures, which are illuminated by tranquil mood lighting, adorn this outstanding creation and are certainly a highlight of your adventure week in the snow.

Day 5 -
Leisure Day

Today you can set the pace of your day and choose to take part in optional winter activities or simply relax at the hotel and enjoy the facilities.

Day 6 -
Husky Safari
|
Travel to the Husky Kennel where your day with these extraordinary dogs begins and discover their importance in the northern regions. The friendly animals eagerly await your arrival. Master the techniques of dog sledding before setting off on a 25 kilometre safari through the wilderness, we rest for a picnic lunch around a campfire. In the afternoon we return to the hotel. Celebrate your adventure week in the snow in the evening with a farewell dinner as your holiday comes to an end.

Depart
|

Say goodbye to Kittilä and prepare for your departure. Transfer to the airport with memories of a wonderful adventure week in the snow.
