Full day Reindeer tour

This wonderful trip will start with the guide giving you instructions how to harness the reindeer and you will have the chance to get to know your reindeer personally. The route of 14-18 kilometres passes through snowy forests and icy marshlands. There will be breaks during the day for ice fishing, a Lappish picnic by an open fire and feeding the reindeer. You will then return to the starting point and be awarded a Reindeer Riding Licence.

Husky Sleigh Ride

The 2 hour adventure starts with the guide helping you to harness the dogs and get to know them. The friendly huskies are ready to take you on a breathtaking trip through the snowy landscape. There are two people on each sleigh, one to drive and the other tucked comfortable in the sleigh bag. You will be able to sway places half way. We stop on route for coffee and sausages cooked on an pen fire in the middle of the forest. After the picnic you return to the starting point and be awarded you Husky Sleigh Riding Licence.

Reindeer Sledge excursion

Short reindeer tour approx 2-3 hours. The tour includes feeding the reindeer, a 6km reindeer sledge ride, coffe and grilled sausages in a Lapp hut, lasso throwing competition.

Walking with snow-shoes - nature trip

Experience this traditional way of getting around in the snow. You will be supplied with a thermo overall shoes and gloves, and the guide will help you choose the right shoes and walking sticks. You will be taken to the start of the walk by a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile and then walk to a beautiful Lapp fell, walking slowly. From the top of the fell we climb down to the picnic place where the guide will make a Lappish meal over an open fire. Duration 6 hours (5 - 8 kilometres)

Whole day Husky Safari

The huskies will take you through a snowy Lappish landscape, wonderful woods and spacious, silent scenery. The guide will tell you how to steer the huskies, how to make them stop and turn. Every husky knows its name as you call it. Each sleigh takes two people, one steers and the other sits in the sleigh and places will be swapped midway. Half way through the journey the guide will cook a meal over an open fire in the midst of the forest and then you will return to the starting point where you will be awarded a Husky Sleigh Riding Licence.

Duration 6 hours. Thermo overall, shoes and gloves will be provided.

Accommodation

Hotel
Hotel Revontuli offers an informal and cosy atmosphere for the whole family. With an ideal location at the foot of the slopes, the hotel boasts 26 double rooms of which four can be interconnected to two spacious family rooms. The rooms all have private facilities, TV, telephone and a drying cabinet. The hotel’s sauna and pool area will provide a relaxing end to an adventurous day in Lapland. The ski track and hiking trails start from just outside the hotel and you will find all the necessary services such as ski rental and a store with groceries, fresh pastries and souvenirs, within easy walking distance.

Apartments
The Tunturitähti apartments offer spacious (54 sq metres) and comfortable accommodation at the foot of the slopes next to the hotel. Each apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, 2 toilets, ski cabinet for secure storage, TV, telephone, cd player, a drying cabinet for clothes your very own sauna and a fireplace.

 

 

At christmas, we also provide Santa Lapland holidays, that are fun for all of the family.
