Finland : Winter Adventure Week

Family activites including snowmobiling and husky safaris and Northern Lights tours, on our winter adventure breaks

Winter activity breaks provide the perfect adventure holiday which all the family can enjoy. The Iso-Syote is set in northern Finland just beneath the Arctic Circle which is on the brink of Lapland. The area is a picture of pristine natural wilderness meaning that you don’t need to venture to the heart of Lapland to experience a magical snow holiday. Our winter adventure breaks include many fantastic optional activities to participate in including snowmobile safaris, snowshoe hiking, a husky safari and a visit to a reindeer farm. Leisure days allow you to explore this beautiful unspoilt setting and to enjoy some of the many other activities such as ice fishing or a Northern Lights tour.

Iso-Syote.jpg Known as the gateway to Lapland, Iso-Syöte lies in Finland’s southernmost fell region and boasts some of the country’s heaviest snowfall. Throughout the winter a deep blanket of glistening snow covers the beautiful landscape of fells and forests. Nearby you will also find 12 downhill slopes, a snowboard street, half pipes and a snow tube run where you can slide down the slope in a large rubber tyre. The gentle fell area is ideal both for beginners and cross country skiers, with 75 miles of well maintained trails starting from just outside the hotel.

All drivers of a snowmobile must have a fully valid driving licence in order to take part in the tour
