Finland : Winter Trip to the Wilderness
Experience Lapland’s diverse cultures
The resort of Rajamaa can be found on a picturesque island that sits in the River Muonio connecting Finland and Sweden. During the winter, charming chalets and majestic trees are sprinkled with glistening snow, making Rajamaa an idyllic retreat for a winter trip to the wilderness. Each of the chalets is well-equipped and offers guests comfortable and tranquil surroundings where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The family-run resort has a main building that houses a reception, customary sauna and sociable dining room which has a warm and inviting atmosphere.
On this Lapland a la Carte holiday you can live harmoniously with nature, admire the rugged beauty of the wilderness and breathe in the crisp, clean air that fills you with life. The snowy countryside is ideal for enjoying many outdoor activities during a winter trip to the wilderness. In the winter months the Aurora Borealis can often be seen casting their dazzling lights across the darkened skies, making the scenery even more beautiful.
After a day’s activities, why not relax in the soothing heat of the sauna before sampling some of the restaurant’s mouth-watering cuisine. Freshly cooked dishes using local ingredients provide guests with an authentic taste of Lapland and are a welcome pleasure after a winter trip in the wilderness.
