The pretty village of Jukkasjärvi in Sweden is home to the legendary ICEHOTEL®. This was one of the first snow hotels ever to be constructed, and it is always a real masterpiece. Inside, ice sculptures adorn the hallways and bedrooms, and colourful lighting artistically illuminates the interior. The ice that is used to build the ICEHOTEL® is naturally washed down by the Torne River. Every winter this ice is harvested and transformed into building blocks. There is also a trendy ICEBAR attached to the ICEHOTEL® where everything, including the glasses, is made from ice, making it a really cool place to socialise.

Finland boasts its own fabulous snow hotels too. The Snow Village is located around 200 kilometres above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, and being surrounded by snow-laden pine trees, the setting for the snow hotels is absolutely stunning. During the daytime you can race over fells on snowmobiles, explore the wilderness while cross country skiing and fall in love with playful huskies as you embark on a dog sled safari.
