Reykjavik and Blue Lagoon and Northern Lights in Iceland
|
After breakfast, the morning is at your leisure to explore Reykjavik, the most northerly capital in the world, with interesting sights to capture such as the distinctive Hallgrims Church, Einars Jónssonar sculpture garden and the National Museum. Your guide will pick you up from the Hotel Leifur Eiriksson at 15.00 hours for a relaxing visit to the Blue Lagoon. Set amongst the lava fields on the Reykjanes peninsula; enjoy the unique experience of bathing in naturally heated, mineral rich waters believed to have healing powers. In the evening, we continue on an hours drive east of Reykjavik to our accommodation at the Hotel Eldhestar (or similar) - a horse farm hotel in Hveragerði for dinner and an overnight stay. Look out for the northern lights, which should be visible at night in Iceland.
