Iceland : A Close up Taste of Iceland with Northern Lights
A chance to see the Northern Lights over Iceland
You are invited to see the lava fields on the Reykjanes peninsula, the rift of continental plates, the Vatnajökull glacier which floats icebergs onto the Jökulsárlón lagoon, the reynisdrangar at Vik, the world’s oldest parliament and the home of your guide Haukur Snorrason. This is a tour of Iceland with an individual touch. When the night draws in and guests look up to see the Northern Lights on Iceland’s horizon, Haukur’s wife, gourmet cook Hadda Bjork Gisladottir, prepares a traditional Icelandic meal.
This small group tour is an excellent and personal way to explore the island and to see the Northern Lights in Iceland.

The Northern Lights in Iceland
Reykjavik is over 850 miles north of Edinburgh and just outside of the Arctic Circle which makes it highly likely that you will see the Northern Lights over Iceland if you visit during the autumn or spring. Iceland is a volcanic island and as such it combines several different kinds of landscape. As well as evergreen forests and arable farmland it also contains a desert, volcanic mountains and geological fissures unlike anything in Great Britain.
