Day 1 - Bergen

Arrive in the cultural city of Bergen and transfer to the Scandic Hotel which is centrally located. Here you will enjoy an evening meal and the first night stay of your Norway fjords holiday.

Day 2 - Bergen – Lavik – Skei

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before choosing to either spend the morning at leisure or on a tour around some of the main sights which include Troldhaugen, Rosenkrantz Tower, Bergenhus Fortress, Bryggen and Mount Fløien. In the afternoon of your Norway fjords holiday you can cruise along the picturesque coast to Gulen where the magnificent Sognefjord begins. Arrive in Lavik where a coach will then take you through Valheim and Førde to Skei. Admire the glistening Lake Jølster as it reflects the summery scenery and discover the local heritage.

Day 3 - Skei and Fjærland/Glaciers Tour

Today is free for you to explore at your own pace, perhaps taking a walk along Lake Jølster. There is the option to book a tour to Fjærland which includes a drive besides the lake and past the Bøyumsdal Glacier. You can also learn more about the history of Norway at the Glacier Museum.

Day 4 - Geirangerfjord

Today on the Norway fjords holiday, take a captivating journey through the Våtedal valley, over the Utvik Mountain and along the breathtaking Nordfjord to Hellesylt where you will board the boat for a one hour cruise down the Geirangerfjord. Marvel at the celebrated Seven Sisters, the Suitor and Bridal Veil waterfalls which surge down lush fjord sides. Your tour then continues to Mount Dalsnibba where you will be greeted with awesome panoramas of Geirangerfjord. Returning to Skei, pass through Grotli, Hjelle and past Lake Oppstryn.

Day 5 - Leisure Day or Optional Tour to Briksdal

Choose to spend today on your Norway fjords holiday at leisure or take an optional excursion to Nordfjord and the delightful village of Olden before seeing the mighty Briksdal Glacier, which is part of the largest glacier in Europe – Jostedal.

Day 6 - Optional Trip to Sandane

Relax and enjoy some free time today on the Norway fjords holiday or book an additional trip to Sandane. Visit the Nordfjord Folk Museum and the Gimmestad Church which dates back to 1692. On return to Skei, stop at Reed to absorb the superb views then visit the Norwegian Horse Centre and Byrkjelo. Following dinner back at the Skei Hotel, savour coffee at ‘Gamlestova’, a 300 year old cottage.

Day 7 - Norway in a Nutshell

Your Norway fjords holiday takes you on the famous Norway in a Nutshell tour today, starting with a journey over the Gaular Mountain to Balestrand. The tour includes a scenic cruise along the Sognefjord to Flåm where you will ride on its well-known railway to Myrdal to board the train to Bergen. Alternatively, travel by train across the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau to Oslo where you will spend the final evening of your Norway fjords holiday.
