Our big boat whale watching holidays are immensely popular with all age groups but for nature lovers who want to immerse themselves in their environment, we are offering a chance to snorkel with orca. In 1987 vast quantities of herring converged on Tysfjord and every year they return there to winter before returning north after the Arctic winter. The herring were a surprise but the locals had never expected to see orca swimming in the fjord. Our whale watching holidays that include orca safaris also offer an amazing big boat trip to get a chance to study these amazing animals from above the waterline.
