  • Day 1 - Arrive in Cape Town

    Your South Africa Explorer holiday begins as your guide greets you at the airport and you transfer to your hotel in Cape Town, the second largest city in South Africa. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the rich cultural and historical heritage of this vibrant city.

  • Day 2 - Sightseeing in Cape Town

    Sightseeing in Cape Town

    Today, on your South Africa Explorer holiday, enjoy the delights of Cape Town as you take the cable car up Table Mountain. Here, you’ll experience panoramic views of your stunning surroundings. Afterwards, embark on a scenic drive through some of South Africa’s famous wine growing regions – Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Then, visit two famous wine estates, one of which is owned by golf champion and award-winning winemaker Ernie Els. Take a private tour of the cellars before tasting the delicious local produce.

  • Day 3 - More Time in Cape Town

    More Time in Cape Town

    On the South Africa Explorer holiday today we set out on one of the most spectacular marine drives imaginable, along the picturesque coastline, taking in the sights of the 12 Apostles and Hout Bay and later, Chapman’s Peak. Afterwards, head to Cape Point to visit the Cape of Good Hope Reserve and the famous Cape Point Lighthouse. Then, enjoy a taste of local cuisine as you head to a local restaurant for a delicious meal and drinks. Finish your day off by visiting Boulders Beach where you can get up close and personal with a group of stunning African Penguins.

  • Day 4 - Cape Town - Embarkation

    Cape Town - Embarkation

    This morning, fly to Kasane via Johannesburg, and transfer to the Chobe River where you will board your luxury Zambezi River Cruise ship, the Zambezi Queen. Enjoy the view this afternoon as you settle into your suite and prepare for the evening's welcome dinner.

  • Day 5 - Zambezi Queen - Chobe National Park and Kasenu Village

    Zambezi Queen - Chobe National Park and Kasenu Village

    After a delicious breakfast on board, leave your Zambezi River Cruise ship as you embark on a thrilling boat safari, hopefully spotting some of the area’svaried wildlife. Later, visit the village of Kasenu where you’ll delve into the fascinating history and culture of a typical African village. Interact with the locals and perhaps pick up some handmade souvenirs to remind you of your South Africa Explorer holiday. This evening, return to the shore for a special African Boma Dinner.

  • Day 6 - Zambezi Queen - Chobe National Park

    Zambezi Queen - Chobe National Park

    Today, there is another opportunity to spot Africa’s wildlife on a game drive through Chobe National Park which boasts one of the densest wildlife populations on the continent. Here, you may spot crocodiles, elephants and hippos as they wallow in the cool waters of the river. In the afternoon, choose either a boat safari, allowing you more time to see the stunning African wildlife, or an exhilarating tigerfishing experience. Then, head back to your ship to enjoy high tea and dinner on board your Zambezi River Cruise.

  • Day 7 - Aboard the Zambezi Queen

    Aboard the Zambezi Queen

    Your day begins with a private boat safari and bird watching excursion allowing you to meet some of the area's exotic birdlife whilst catching another glimpse of Africa's amazing animals. Later, enjoy a special river cruise into the southern channels where you'll experience surreal, up-close views of hippos and elephants in their natural habitat. Enjoy a fabulous Farewell Dinner on board the Zambezi River Cruise ship before the next part of your journey begins tomorrow.

    After breakfast, we disembark the Zambezi River Cruise ship and journey to the spectacular Victoria Falls. Once settled into your accommodation, enjoy the afternoon exploring the area at your leisure.

    On today's South Africa Explorer itinerary, you will spend the full day admiring Victoria Falls, one of the greatest sights in the world. Take a guided tour of the area and learn more about its geology and wildlife. Later, board the Sundowner Cruise and set sail along the Zambezi River. Sit back and relax as you enjoy tapas and dancing whilst spotting the fantastic wildlife in the river and on land.

    Victoria Falls - Johannesburg

    This morning, on your South Africa Explorer holiday, board a flight to South Africa’s most populated city, Johannesburg. Here, after checking in to your hotel, you'll be able to explore this exciting city as you wish. Perhaps visit the fascinating Apartheid Museum where you can delve into South Africa's interesting history.

  • Day 11 - Johannesberg - Greater Kruger National Park

    Johannesberg - Greater Kruger National Park

    Today we take a flight to Greater Kruger National Park and transfer to an authentic game lodge in Lowveld. In the afternoon, we embark on an exciting game drive for a chance to spot iconic African animals like buffalo, lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants and leopards. Enjoy the sunset this evening as you relax in the beautiful grounds of the lodge.

  • Day 12 - Explore Greater Kruger National Park

    Explore Greater Kruger National Park

    We set off early this morning for an action-packed day on your South Africa Explorer holiday. Start the day by exploring a private game reserve which is located adjacent to Kruger National Park. With less safari vehicles in the area, your chances of spotting amazing wildlife are much greater. Head back to the lodge and enjoy the facilities before embarking on your second safari of the day. This excursion takes you deep into the bush where South Africa’s top predators including cheetahs, hyenas and lions, reside. This area is also home to many raptors including awe striking eagles.

  • Day 13 - More Time in Greater Kruger National Park

    More Time in Greater Kruger National Park

    Today's South Africa Explorer itinerary consists of two game drives ensuring that you get a last glimpse of the astounding wildlife and birdlife which resides here. Absorb the peace and tranquillity of Kruger as you spend you final evening stargazing and watching the sunset.
