A Whale of a Sail

Reykjavik Dinner Cruise Vessel

Wildlife watching is, undoubtedly, a joy for many but, if we are honest, it can sometimes get a little uncomfortable. Not so with the fabulous Reykjavik Dinner Cruise on offer through the Mighty Fine Company.

You’ll spend an evening whale watching from the comfort of a luxury cruiser as you sample a delicious five course dinner and listen to live music. This fabulous two and a half hour experience leaves the old harbour and passes the Harpa Concert Hall before circling the islands in Faxafloi bay.

Harpa Concert Hall

Faxafloi Bay is a great location for wildlife watching. Its watery depths are home to Humpback whales, a unique variety of Minke whales, porpoises and dolphins. There’s also a vast array of birdlife to look out for too including Puffins, Gannets and Arctic Terns. Ideal for the photographer and nature lover alike, this Friday evening excursion runs throughout the summer months. It provides a great opportunity to see some magnificent creatures in the flesh and enjoy a very different view of the wonderful city of Reykjavik. Indeed, if you are visiting Iceland this summer, this excursion is an absolute must!
