Great news for lovers of the epic fantasy drama Game of Thrones: series four is now in production and, once again, is being partially filmed in Iceland.
The smash hit show, based on the George R R Martin series, A Song of Ice and Fire, has previously used Iceland to depict the programme’s frozen, mythical lands. This year, however, plans are afoot to take advantage of the country’s long summer nights and show a different side to this amazing country.
Filming for the series began on 8th July in Morocco with sessions in Iceland, Croatia and Northern Ireland planned over the coming months. But why wait to experience the magic? Travel to Iceland on the Mighty Fine Company’s scenic road trip and see the filming locations for yourself this summer.
