Scandinavian Chocolate Marzipan with Cognac and Walnuts

Stuck for that last minute gift? Well, why buy when you can make? These fabulous grown-up chocolate treats will go down a storm with anyone with a sweet tooth!

Based on the Scandinavian favourite, marzipan, these delicious delights can be adapted to suit all tastes. You can replace the walnuts with raisins, prunes, orange zest or dates and even change the liqueur to your favourite tipple.

Ingredients

300g marzipan

4tbsp cognac

75g chopped walnuts

75g soft nougat

150g melted chocolate

Method

• Mix the marzipan, cognac, walnuts and nougat

• Form the mixture into small balls – use a teaspoon measure for portion size

• Dip the balls in the chocolate

• Leave to set
