I am not one for the rigidity of itineraries nor am I lured by the uniformity of all-inclusive breaks, so self-drive holidays are very appealing to me. A new trend is immerging where people who, like me, on an endless quest for the unique, are no longer satisfied with vacations spent by the pool, baking in the heat of the sun and are instead searching for new and interesting holiday options. One particular tour that piques my interest at present is the hiking tour of Iceland with self drive. This holiday is abundant in scenic tours and guides travellers through some of Iceland’s most incredible sites, including Grábrók Volcano, Jökulsárgljúfur National Park and the Goðafoss Waterfall. This is a break for those in search of culture, nature and the allure of something different.
