According to recent research, baby blue sharks have their very own nursery – and it’s just off the coast of the Azores!
Known to spend their 'formative' years in a group setting, a shiver of blue sharks have set up their own nursery in the central North Atlantic. The babies spend two years in the area before they divide by sex and swim off into open water to start their adult life.
The Azores provide a great base for those keen to discover the creatures of the deep. Take a look at our Whale Watching Week in the area and start planning your dream break.
