Okavango Delta & Moremi Game Reserve

This fantastic water source spans hundreds of miles of the country with the central area being encompassed by the Moremi Game Reserve. Chief’s Island is at the core of the waters, an area which many animals call home. Wildlife often found here includes the Big Five, hippopotamus, lechwe, sitantunga, giraffe and sable antelope, amongst many others. There are also many fish species here including tigerfish and catfish. You can catch a glimpse of these fascinating aquatic creatures as you embark on a traditional Mokoro ride along the waters.

Chobe National Park

Meet the Elephants of Chobe National Park on one of our Botswana Holidays

This popular park has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa! Due to its proximity to the Zambezi River, water-loving animals, such as huge herds of elephant, can be seen here. Other common creatures include warthogs, impalas, zebras, lions and wildebeests. River cruises and elephant back safaris are a great way to witness these remarkable beasts as well as the many fish species found in the waters.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

This enticing park is the largest in the world, spanning just over 800 square miles, making it the same size as Belgium! As it was closed to the public until recently, it is absolutely immaculate and terrifically well preserved. This remote area entertains gemsbok, springbok and wildebeest, amongst a whole host of others. Due to the huge variety of creatures, game viewing is good year-round here.

Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

This private reserve is one of Botswana’s hidden gems. Its diverse wildlife is experienced by just 120 visitors at a time, meaning you can enjoy an untamed African safari experience here unlike anywhere else in the country. You will have the chance to witness predators in action and may also spot the endangered African Wild Dog which has been seen in this area on several occasions.
