Day 1 - Prague, Czech Republic
Arrive in Prague where you will transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore this stunning city. Why not pay a visit to The Astronomical Clock in the town centre? This remarkable feature has been ticking since 1490 and is known for being extremely hard to decipher due to the complicated zodiac figures on the clock's face.
Day 2 - Prague
Today on your Europe Christmas Cruise, you will embark on a sightseeing tour and witness for yourself why Prague is one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Visit the 1,000 year-old Hradcany Castle courtyard and St. Vitus, then cross over the Charles Bridge to the Old Market Square. Spend the rest of the day exploring the Christmas markets with their colourful handicrafts, toys, local delicacies and ornaments. Stroll around Wenceslas Square, or sample one of the quaint cafés or restaurants.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 3 - Embark on Christmas Cruise
After breakfast, we take a rural drive to Nuremberg, the capital of Franconia. Tonight, get acquainted with fellow passengers on board the ship at the Welcome Dinner. The ship will dock overnight in Nuremberg before commencing on the Europe Christmas Cruise tomorrow.Meals included:Breakfast, Dinner
Day 4 - Nuremberg - Continental Divide - Dietfurt
Enjoy a guided tour of Nuremberg with its impressive Gothic churches, 900 year-old ramparts that surround the city, the Imperial Castle and the Justice Palace. Later, we visit the world's biggest Christmas market that sells everything from children's toys, angels, dolls and gingerbread. At lunchtime, we rejoin the Europe Christmas Cruisefurther along the Main-Danube Canal and continue to the highest point, which is 1,332 feet above sea level, before descending down the locks to the Bavarian town of Dietfurt.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 - Regensburg
Today, your Europe Christmas Cruise will arrive in medieval Regensburg. Discover the city's highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Pretoria on a sightseeing tour. Next, visit the pretty Old Kornmarkt Christmas market where festive stalls are adorned with fir branches. Or you can choose to explore the Royal Christmas markets at the Thurn and Taxis Palace, which is a very traditional market where artisans can be seen making goods.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 - Passau - Linz, Austria
After breakfast, the Europe Christmas Cruise sails into picturesque Passau. Here, take part in a guided tour of this fairytale city, which was discovered more than 2,000 years ago. Alternatively, enjoy a day tour to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. See the main sights and take a trip to Mozart's birth house. Absorb the delightful atmosphere of the Christmas Markets, or if you prefer to stay on board Europe Christmas Cruise, relax on a scenic journey from Passau to Austria then finally, Linz. Day 7 - Melk - Vienna
Continuing your journey, the Europe Christmas Cruise passes through the narrow Strudengau, arriving in Wachau Valley in the morning. Firstly, set off on a tour of Melk's Benedictine Abbey then continue through the picturesque Wachau Valley. We arrive in Vienna later in the afternoon. Spend the evening at the Christmas market, or book an optional Mozart and Strauss concert.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8 - Vienna
Today's sightseeing tour on your Europe Christmas Cruise includes Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, Ringstrasse, St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Christmas markets and a trip to the National Library. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 - Budapest, Hungary
This morning, the Europe Christmas Cruise follows the Danube Bend past charming towns that nestle into the river bank, we reach Budapest in time for lunch on board. Admire the famous sights of Buda and Pest from the historic Buda Castle, which offers incredible views across the river. The tour also features the distinctive Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Palace, St. Stephen's Basilica, and much more. End the day by exploring the Christmas markets. On the final night of Europe Christmas Cruise, enjoy a Gala Farewell Dinner, which is followed by a cruise along the illuminated river front of Budapest.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 10 - Depart Budapest
