    Your Finland New Year holiday begins with breakfast, after which you will meet your guide. You will receive your itinerary for the week, including details of the optional excursions and activities available. After breakfast, strap on some snowshoes and enjoy a scenic walk in the Taiga Forest. The afternoon is free so why not book one of the extra activities available? Spend the evening relaxing in the sauna and Jacuzzi before enjoying dinner at the hotel.

  • Day 3 - Huskies, Horses and Snowmobiles

    This morning you will experience four taster tours of traditional Lappish modes of transport, beginning with a horse sled ride. Next, meet the friendly husky dogs who will lead you on a sled through some of Finland’s most stunning vistas. Speed things up a little on your Finland New Year holiday when you embark on a snowmobile sleigh-drive taster session.  During the tours you can warm up with a cup of hot juice around an open fire before heading back to the hotel for some leisure time.

  • Day 4 - New Year’s Eve Celebrations

    The final day of the year is teeming with excitement as we build up to the evening’s celebrations. This morning, your Finland New Year holiday introduces you to the delights of a snowmobile safari. After two to three hours exploring the Finnish landscapes, sit by the cosy lobby fire and allow “Ms Fortune Teller” to predict your romantic encounters for the coming year using a method known as tin casting. Tonight, after a sumptuous gala dinner, welcome in the New Year in the winter garden and enjoy a magnificent fireworks display. The evening ends as you dance the night away at the celebratory disco.

  • Day 5 - New Year’s Day

    After the previous night’s festivities, enjoy some free time relaxing at the hotel. Perhaps visit the Jacuzzi and sauna before preparing for the New Year’s Concert at the Kuhmo Arts Centre.

  • Day 6 - Free Day

    Take advantage of this day at leisure during the Finland New Year holiday to purchase some souvenirs, or learn more about Lapland’s culture and history at one of the neighbouring museums.
