During this Arctic Adventure Holiday, go in search of the Northern Lights on an exciting snowshoeing excursion. This tour can run on any night of your holiday, so why not monitor the local forecast to increase your chances of witnessing the phenomena? Of course, your hosts will be more than happy to offer their advice on the best nights to look out for a sighting and, wherever possible, can arrange an Aurora alarm service (chargeable on request) where they wake you up if a display appears in the night! On top of this, Timo is a highly experienced photographer, with plenty of practice at taking incredible Aurora shots. Feel free to ask for any tips he has to help you come home with your own stunning momento of the Northern Lights!
The Korpikartano Hotel serves traditional Finnish dishes in its two restaurants and the sauna facilities here offer ideal opportunities for some welcome relaxation at the end of each action-packed day on your Arctic Adventure Holiday. The hotel is run by the owners of a local activity company and is well-equipped with all the clothing required for fun in the snowy Arctic conditions. During your free time you can borrow the hotel's snowshoes and kick-sledges and sample some real Arctic snow fun - you simply won't want this holiday to end!

Day 1 - Welcome to the Arctic!
Transfer from the airport to the Hotel Korpikartano where your Arctic Adventure Holiday begins. You will be given all of the information you need by your guide, before enjoying dinner in the hotel restaurant.Meals included:Dinner
Day 2 - Snow Activities
This morning, on your Arctic Adventure Holiday,your guide introduces you to the many activities on offer as well as teaching you how to use the equipment. Weather permitting, we embark on an evening snowshoeing tour in search of the mysterious Northern Lights. Learn about the phenomena and the surrounding Arctic nature.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 - Sámi Reindeer Farm Visit
Today on your Arctic Adventure Holiday, we visit a traditional Sámi Reindeer Farm where you can interact with the animals and listen to fascinating stories about their history and importance in Finnish culture. Let the reindeer take you on a short journey through the snowy scenery before indulging in a cup of hot coffee around a fire where you can learn more about the Sámi way of life.
After lunch and a free afternoon to enjoy some optional activities, you'll head out by snowmobile in search of the magical Northern Lights.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 - Learn Wilderness Skills
Today you will get the unique opportunity to practice some skills often needed in these regions. You will be guided on snowshoes to a forest lake where you will be taught techniques including how to use a compass and GPS, make a fire, and track animal prints. Later, relax with lunch by the campfire at the kota and enjoy some free time on your Arctic Adventure Holiday.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 - Husky Safari, Siida Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre
This Arctic Adventure Holiday is crammed with exciting excursions and today is no exception. Meet the friendly huskies at a local farm, find out about their significance in the Arctic regions and learn how to drive them before you take the reins on an exciting safari.
You will also have ample free time in the village of Inari to explore the Siida Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre where fabulous exhibitions focus on local nature and culture. There are plenty of handicraft shops to amble around before we return to the hotel on day five of this Arctic Adventure Holiday.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 - Ice Fishing and Snow Fun
Transfer to a nearby lake by snowmobile and try your hand at the art of ice fishing. Warm drinks will be provided during the trip. Return to the hotel for lunch and take advantage of the optional activities available in the afternoon during free time. Use of kick-sledges, cross country skis, toboggans and snowshoes is included in the price of your holiday, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy a range of snowy pursuits during your Arctic Adventure Holiday.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 - Leisure Time
Today on your Arctic Adventure Holiday there is a range of activities you can take part in, or you can simply unwind in the stunning surroundings of the hotel. Perhaps visit the Norwegian fjords, learn about traditional felt making or watch reindeer jewellery being made at Kammigalleria.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8 - Depart Menesjärvi
On the final day of your Arctic Adventure Holiday, time permitting, indulge in some more snow fun prior to your departure. Transfer to Ivalo Airport for your connecting flight.
