Located in eastern Finland, the Wild Taiga is a rugged wilderness where extraordinary wildlife roams freely in enchanting forests. This once-in-a-lifetime Finland Bear Watching holiday offers you the opportunity to see magnificent animals such as brown bears, reindeer, lynx and wolverine in their natural habitat.
Finland is a superb destination for a wildlife watching holiday boasting some 1500 bears as well as wolverine, lynx, flying squirrels, reindeer and mink. The Wild Taiga is breathtakingly beautiful in the summer months and, as the Midnight Sun beams golden rays through the branches of tall pine trees, Finland’s nocturnal creatures come to life, foraging for food. This Finland Bear Watching holiday is an exceptional experience, offering a rare insight into the lives of many endangered species.
You will enjoy full board accommodation on this Finland Bear Watching holiday. The purpose-built hides include comfortable viewing chairs, sleeping and toilet facilities and audio amplification systems so you can hear the forest as you see it. Spending four days in the hides enables you to get close to nature and, hopefully, capture some exciting moments on camera as the bears are likely to be around 20 metres from the hide - and often much, much closer!
As well as spending time looking for the animals on this Finland Bear Watching holiday, you will visit the Petola Nature Centre and find out everything you could possibly need to know about the country's predators and how they survive in this vast wilderness.
