    Fly from the UK to Finland. Transfer to the Ranua Holiday Village Gulo Gulo, where you will be shown to your accommodation for the Lapland Family Holiday.

  • Day 2 - Snowmobiling and a visit to Ranua

    Snowmobiling and a visit to Ranua

    Today you will visit the zoo and meet many of Finland’s most famous animals, including the Arctic fox, wolverine, wild forest reindeer and moose. The most popular animals, however, are the zoo's polar bears and, although they are not indigenous to Finland, they are perfectly suited to life in the Arctic. There are approximately 200 animals at the zoo and each spacious enclosure echoes the authentic habitat of the animal. No wonder this is one of Lapland’s most popular family attractions!

    In the evening on your Lapland Family Holiday, you will learn how to drive a snowmobile and embark on a three-hour safari across the shadowy, snow-covered wilderness to look for the Northern Lights, stopping en route to enjoy hot drinks around an open fire.

    Day in Rovaniemi

    Rovaniemi is a fabulous location for a day out on the Lapland Family Holiday. This captivating Arctic city is home to Santa's magical village, where you can meet the man himself during your time here. After lunch, discover the delights of Arktikum, the city’s spectacular museum, where you can find out about the region’s history, nature and the Northern Lights. There will be free time later to browse the local shops.

  • Day 4 - Huskies and Snowshoeing

    Huskies and Snowshoeing

    Today on the Lapland Family Holiday, feel the adrenalin rush as a friendly team of huskies pulls you through the frozen countryside of Ranua. Once evening arrives, set out on a gentle snowshoe trek into the dark, silent forest. With headlamps lighting the way, keep a look out for the native wildlife on the ground and the Northern Lights as they dance in the skies overhead. During the trek, hot drinks are served around a fire.

  • Day 5 - Return Home

    Return Home

    Today your Lapland Family Holiday ends. Say farewell to Ranua and make your way to the airport for your flight home.
