    Transfer from Kittila Airport to Harriniva where you will be given all the information you need for your wonderful Lapland New Year break.

    Today on your Lapland New Year break, you'll learn all about snowshoeing - the Finnish way of travelling through deep snow - before embarking on a snowshoe trek. You'll trek around Harriniva and the Muonio River, a branch of the Torne River which, together, form the border between Sweden and Finland.

  • Day 3 - Where is Rudolph?

    Where is Rudolph?

    Today's special Lapland New Year treat is a visit to a fascinating local reindeer farm. As well as meeting, greeting and even helping to feed the herd, you'll set out on a magical sleigh ride, enjoying the glorious views as these wonderful animals transport you through the snow.

  • Day 4 - New year's Eve Gala Dinner

    New year's Eve Gala Dinner

    An entire day to relax or enjoy even more optional outdoor activities. If you don't fancy a walk through the pretty countryside, why not enjoy the comfort and facilities of the hotel? In the afternoon, warm up in the sauna or indulge in a therapeutic massage in preparation for tonight. Before you know it, it will be time to switch into full on celebration mode as you welcome the Lapland New Year with a Gala Dinner and a glass of fizz.

  • Day 5 - New Year's Day - Let's Ski and the Northern Lights by Reindeer

    New Year's Day - Let's Ski and the Northern Lights by Reindeer

    Today you can opt to learn the basics of cross country skiing and explore the snowy tracks outside the hotel. Later it’s off in search of the elusive Northern Lights, courtesy of the resident reindeer. Travelling to vantage points where artificial light is at a minimum, it’s fingers crossed that this wonderful display shows itself on your Lapland New Year break. As this excursion is not suitable for under-fives, those with younger families might want to speak to our travel advisers about an alternative.

  • Day 6 - Husky Safari

    Husky Safari

    Today you will meet one of Finland’s most important animals - the husky. There's a fascinating guided tour of the Harriniva Dog Sled Centre where you will learn about these remarkable creatures and then you will see them at work as they take you on a short sled tour.This Lapland New Year break is a wonderful experience!

  • Day 7 - Depart Harriniva

    Depart Harriniva

    Sadly your Lapland New Year break comes to an end today as you transfer to Kittila Airport for your return flight. What was your favourite outdoor activity? Were you lucky enough to see the Northern Lights? One thing is for sure, this is a New Year you simply won't forget!
