Travel to the Lapland Igloo Village on our Northern Lights Trips and see the amazing Aurora illuminate Finland's epic winter sky. This remote Arctic location provides a spectacular setting to hunt the Northern Lights, which are considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Daytimes on this exceptional holiday are as exciting as the evenings, featuring a snowmobile excursion and an exhilarating husky safari through the majestic Lappish wilderness.
The amazing Igloo Village is an extremely popular feature of our Northern Lights Trips collection. Across its two sites it boasts the original glass igloos, glass teepees, the Santa Resort and traditional Log Cabins!
Your main accommodation is a rustic log cabin, although you will spend one night in a magnificent snow or glass igloo. The temperature in the snow igloo drops below zero, offering you the unique chance to sleep in Arctic conditions, kept warm and snug in insulated sleeping bags. If you prefer warm accommodation for your overnight treat, however, you can sleep in a glass igloo at the original village or in the recently constructed Santa's resort. Whichever you choose, you're guaranteed an unforgettable night of star gazing in sensational style.
We can now offer Northern Lights excursions featuring use of the “Snow Tank”. New for 2016 this heated vehicle offers excellent Northern Lights viewing via its glass panoramic roof. Having a tracked propulsion system means the Snow Tank can access the more remote areas to maximise your chances of viewing the Northern Lights.
During your stay in Finland, make sure you take the time to explore the fabulous Santa's resort and, if you want to personalise your break yet further, take a look at the full range of optional activities on offer here.
