Hurtigruten Winter cruises

Explore fabulous winter wonderlands on our Hurtigruten Winter Cruises

We have a wide selection of Hurtigruten winter cruises which go in search of the mesmerising Northern Lights. The ships sail past the dramatic coastline of the remote northern regions of Norway, giving passengers the opportunity to be entertained by some of Mother Nature’s most dramatic and inspirational work. The cruises call at various ports in towns, villages and cities giving allowing passengers to enjoy optional excursions, sample some of the local cuisine or simply explore on their own. In the evenings of our cruises guests can wait to see if the Northern Lights appear on the ship’s observation deck or from a comfortable seat in the ship’s panorama lounge.

Amazing Experiences

Discover amazing landmarks on our Hurtigruten Winter Cruises

All of our Hurtigruten Winter Cruises are aboard working ships which transport people and supplies along the coast of Norway. Onboard each ship there is a panorama lounge, bar, library, observation deck and restaurant. Depending on the ship there may also be an internet café, gym and many other amenities. On our Northern Lights cruises you can only request an inside or outside (supplementary cost) cabin.

Cruises are full or half-board with breakfast and lunch being a cold and hot buffet and dinner a three course set meal. All of the delicious cuisine served on board is produced from fresh, local ingredients and is typically Norwegian.

There are various excursions available during our Hurtigruten winter cruises including dog sledding, city tours, tours of the Kirkenes Snow Hotel, snowmobiling and more.

There is no way of predicting when the Northern Lights will appear, although your chances of seeing the natural wonder on our Hurtigruten winter cruises is greater if you are above the Arctic Circle, there is a new moon and you are away from artificial sources of lights. Displays of the Aurora Borealis are always unique and can appear as arcs of green, blue, pink or yellow light.
