With its northerly location surrounded by the vast Atlantic Ocean, Iceland is a terrific place to spot the Aurora Borealis during the winter months. Our Iceland Northern Lights tour takes you to various hotspots around the country to give you the best chance of witnessing this glorious phenomenon. What makes this tour particularly attractive is the six evenings of lectures, presentations and guided searches focused on the Aurora Borealis. Whether you are relaxing in the warm waters of the famous Blue Lagoon, touring the mountains and valleys of Vatnajökull National Park or watching reflections in the Jokulsárlón glacial lagoon, the Northern Lights could appear on any night and illuminate the skies. The mystery and anticipation lies in their unpredictability and, if you are lucky enough to see them during your Iceland Northern Lights Tour, it will certainly be a holiday to remember.

As well as the Aurora Borealis, you will see other incredible natural wonders such as smouldering volcanoes, bubbling hot springs, thundering waterfalls and sparkling glaciers. Witness volcanic landscapes that look like they’re from another planet and absorb the beauty of the rugged coastline, whose black sands are continually pounded by the roaring waves of the North Atlantic. You will stay in several different hotels as you travel around on this Iceland Northern Lights Tour, allowing you to see as much of this remarkable island as possible.

If you would prefer to do this tour as part of a smaller group, there are scheduled departures every Tuesday in groups with a maximum of 16 people per tour. Alternatively if you prefer to explore Iceland independently, try our self drive Hotel Ranga and Northern Lights Adventure.
