Each day on your Winter Activities in Iceland break, your guide will collect you from the meeting point, whisking you away to experience a host of thrilling Winter Activities. Iceland really is a remarkable country, offering such diversity in landscapes. From snow-capped mountains and looming volcanoes, to deep-cut river valleys and vast canyons, the country's terrain has been shaped and sculpted over thousands of years by fluvial, glacial, volcanic and tectonic action. This is why Iceland is often referred to as ‘The Land of Fire and Ice’.
Highlights of Winter Activities in Iceland include snorkelling in the legendary Silfra Fissure, horse riding across lava fields, hiking on the surface of a glacier, driving across rugged volcanic terrain on ATVs and caving. At the end of it all, there is a visit to the Blue Lagoon to help you relax after your week of exhilarating exploits. There is also a full day built into the holiday for you to spend as you wish in Reykjavík.
Please note: this holiday is suitable for children aged 14 or over. They are welcome to take part in the ATV excursion as passengers.
