Day 1 - Bergen
Start your Christmas and New Year Northern Lights cruise in Bergen – gateway to the fjords. The fascinating history of the city, once the captial of Norway, is reflected throughout its beautiful centre. From the UNESCO listed, 14th century Bryggen district to the fortress at Bergenhus, this colourful, historic city offers plenty to keep visitors intrigued.Meals included:Dinner
Day 2 - Ålesund
Journey to the town of Ålesund today on your Christmas and New Year Northern Lights cruise. Renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture, this historic town boasts quaint, colourful, harbourside houses. If you climb the 418 steps to the pinnacle of Mount Aksla, you can absorb incredible panoramic views of the town and surrounding islands.
Enjoy a relaxing walk through this pretty town as you learn about its fascinating history and the symbolism of its architecture. You could even opt for a visit to the famous aquarium - one of the biggest salt water aquariums in northern Europe. Here you can enjoy the spectacular diving show and the chance to see a wide range of marine life.

Day 3 - Trondheim
Historically, Trondheim has played more of a role in the development of Norway than Oslo. It was Trondheim that rulers used as the base of their power for hundreds of years - a fact which becomes blatantly clear as you visit the medieval castle of King Sverre, the Gothic Nidaros Cathedral and the displays at the Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum on your Christmas and New Year Northern Lights cruise.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 - Bodø and Svolvær
Today, your Christmas and New Year Northern Lightscruise crosses the Arctic Circle, providing a world of new discoveries. Witness the towering Lofoten Wall and explore the charming coastal towns of the archipelago as you travel through one of Norway's most scenic regions. From here your chances of seeing the Northern Lights increase dramatically so, keep an eye on the sky, each night of your journey north.
En route to Svolvær today, you can disembark the ship and join an amazing viking feast. Hosted in an incredible reconstruction of a Viking house, this excursion offers a fascinating insight into the ancient culture of this wonderful region.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 - Harstad and Tromsø
After an early morning stop in Harstad, you will arrive in Tromsø today. This vibrant, cosmopolitan city is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. Here you can enjoy a wide range of activities, take a guided tour of the city and explore the renowned Arctic Cathedral before heading off to Polaria to learn all about the history of the region. Venture to Tromsø's oldest pub and try a beer from the world's second northernmost brewery or set off into the surrounding countryside on a husky sled and discover the unspoilt scenery up close as you learn the skills of the musher.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 - Honningsvåg
After two brief stops this morning, we arrive at Honningsvåg, the gateway to the North Cape. Today on your Christmas and New Year Northern Lights voyage you have the opportunity to visit the northernmost point of mainland Europe. An optional excursion takes you to the top of the 307m plateau, offering not only exceptional views but a truly unique experience!
The ship then continues to Kjøllefjord, passing by Finnkirka - a breathtaking rock formation and the ancient sacrificial site of the Sámi people.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 - Kirkenes
Dramatic vistas and extraordinary sealife are the order of the day, today as your ship makes its way towards Kirkenes where you can enjoy a fascinating safari to the Russian border.

Day 8 - Tromsø
This morning, enjoy some time at leisure in Hammerfest - the world’s most northerly town. Day 9 - Vesterålen and Lofoten
Today you will travel through two of Norway's most stunning regions; Vesterålen and Lofoten. Disembark in Harstad to experience A Taste of Vesterålen - a journey from Harstad to Sortland, introducing you to the incredible history of the region, as well as bringing you ever closer to the exceptional scenery.
From Vesterålen, you will travel to the Lofoten Islands - one of the most famous areas of Norway’s coastline. Known for their abundance of sealife, the waters off the Lofoten Islands provide a feeding ground for two species of whale and hundreds of thousands of seabirds.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 10 - Bodø
Early risers today will be treated to a view of the Helgeland coast - a breathtaking section of the Norwegian coastline with countless islets and steep mountains towering over the waves. Day 11 - Trondheim and Molde
There's another opprtunity to explore Trondheim today so be sure to see any of the sights you missed on the northbound voyage. From here wejourneyto Molde; known as “City of Roses” because of its many parks and gardens. Day 12 - Bergen
Be sure to rise early today to give yourself as much time as possible to soak up your final views of the incredible Norwegian coastline before your Christmas and New Year Northern Lights voyage comes to an end.
