Disembark and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the town, the viewing point at Mount Aksla offers a phenomenal view. Enjoy lunch in one of Ålesund’s cafés - smoked wild salmon is recommended as it is one of the town’s specialties.

    After an afternoon of sightseeing, return to your ship to continue your journey north, following the breathtakingly beautiful Norwegian coastline.

  • Day 3 - Sightseeing in Trondheim

    Sightseeing in Trondheim

    The medieval city of Trondheim, Norway’s first capital, will be the main port of call today on your Northern Lights Cruise in Norway. Passengers will have plenty of time to go ashore and explore the city’s gothic buildings at their own pace or join the Trondheim with Nidaros Cathedral city tour. The Ringve Music Museum is another of the city's popular attractions and well worth a visit. Setting sail from Trondheim in the evening, there's plenty of time to scour the skies tonight for the mystical Aurora.

  • Day 4 - Bodø - Arctic Circle

    Bodø - Arctic Circle

    Today, your ship crosses the Arctic Circle, increasing your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights. The cruise then continues to the scenic Lofoten islands stopping at their beautiful capital, Svolvær.

    Capital of the Arctic - Tromso - Northern Lights

    Enjoy a relaxing morning at sea, admiring the majestic landscape of the Norwegian coastline. During the afternoon, your Northern Lights Cruise in Norway arrives in Tromsø – the capital of the Arctic. Enjoy a late lunch in one of the many cafés which line its streets and then explore at leisure. There are plenty of sights to keep you occupied here including the spectacular Arctic Cathedral whose unique design includes a stunning stained glass window, the size of an entire wall.   • Day 6 - Honningsvåg

    After an early stop at Hammerfest today, your cruise arrives in Honningsvåg, where you can join an optional excursion to the North Cape – mainland Europe’s northernmost point. Here you’ll find a 1000 foot cliff with a large, flat plateau where visitors can stand and take in stunning views of the Barents Sea. There’s also a visitor centre where you can enjoy a meal or snack and even send a postcard back home from the resident post office!

  • Day 7 - Arrive in Kirkenes

    Arrive in Kirkenes

    Hammerfest

    Enjoy a leisurely stop in Hammerfest - the world’s most northerly town - today. Your Northern Lights Cruise in Norway then continues to Tromsø, where you can visit the Arctic Cathedral. Built in 1965, this amazing building is, in fact, a parish church, rather than a cathedral and there's no better way to experience this beautiful place than by taking in a midnight concert here. The musical programme includes traditional folk songs as well as religious and acoustic pieces. What a way to end a day!

  • Day 9 - Lofoten Islands

    Lofoten Islands

    Today you will sail through the extraordinary Lofoten Islands by daylight. This Norwegian archipelago is situated north of the Arctic Circle. Often referred to as a 'mini-Norway', it boasts stunning scenery, amazing wildlife and the opportunity to spot whales in its surrounding waters. Known the world over for its scenic beauty, this is one location where you need to keep your camera close to hand at all times.

    At the end of day nine on your voyage, your ship will return to Svolvær before departing from the islands at Stamsund.

  • Day 10 - The Seven Sisters

    The Seven Sisters
