Day 1 - Depart Bergen
Arrive in Bergen where you will board the ship and set off on your Northern Lights Festival Cruise through the Arctic. Take time to settle in, enjoy the fabulous cuisine and explore your floating home for the next four nights.Meals included:Dinner
Day 2 - Alesund
Sailing along Norway’s distinctive coast, we journey to Torvik, docking at Ålesund en route. Spend some time exploring this delightful town which showcases inspiring Art Nouveau architecture. The Northern Lights Festival Cruise continues to Molde, presenting you with immense views of the Romsdal Alps. Admire the pretty islands and reefs as we travel along the Hustadvika coastline, before finally docking at Kristiansund.Meals included:Breakfast, Dinner
Day 3 - Trondheim to Rørvik
This morning we have time to discover the medieval delights of Trondheim, the first capital of Norway. Stroll around the idyllic harbour, witness the majestic Gothic-style Nidaros Cathedral, walk across the Old Town Bridge or visit the famous Ringve Music Museum. After plenty of sightseeing, board the ship ready for the voyage to Rørvik.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 4 - Arctic Circle Crossing
Today marks the crossing of the Arctic Circle, a notable moment for anyone on the Northern Lights Festival Cruise. From this point, you will notice that the scenery becomes even more incredible and the vistas of islands, rock formations and skerries are simply breathtaking. From Bodø, we sail to the scenic Lofoten Islands where quaint wooden buildings float above the water on stilts. Continuing through the Raftsund Strait and the magnificent Trollfjord, which looms above the ship, we reach Svolvær.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 5 - Tromsø Northern Lights Festival
The Northern Lights Festival Cruise stops at Harstad this morning before setting off on the final leg of your picturesque voyage to Tromsø.
Arriving in Tromsø mid-afternoon, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day savouring the lively atmosphere of the Northern Lights Festival. The event celebrates the first full dawn in approximately 60 days, the end of the Polar Night. It is a symbolic event for Tromsø's residents and a moving experience for any visitors lucky enough to witness this vibrant festival. Various styles of music ranging from opera to jazz are played at venues across the city. And, with any luck, the Aurora Borealis may put on its enigmatic light display and illuminate the night skies over the city.Meals included:Breakfast
Day 6 - Depart Tromsø
Today, your holiday comes to a close and you return to the airport for your flight home. You can, however, choose to extend your stay in Tromsø and enjoy even more of the celebrations. Ask our travel advisers for further details of the options available.
