Locations on Iceland Photography Holidays

Our tours begin in Reykjavík, Iceland’s majestic capital city. As you explore the city sights, you will get the opportunity to test your urban photography skills, playfully using the hard lines of the buildings to generate impressive results. Reykjavík is unusual in that it has a lake at its heart, a tranquil refuge from the hum of the city. Close to Reykjavík is the famous Blue Lagoon, which is a large geothermally heated pool containing milky, mineral-rich waters. If you travel there on Iceland Photography Holidays, you can get some great shots of the Lagoon and enjoy a relaxing dip in there too.

There may be time to visit one or two of the country’s national parks during your time in Iceland. While Skaftafell boasts tremendous beauty with lush, green valleys and towering peaks, Þingvellir is home to a wealth of geological wonders. There is the rift valley that demarcates the boundary between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, as well as other glacial and volcanic rock formations. Haukur Snorrason has been shooting landscapes like these for two decades and can give you tips and advice on how to produce incredible shots yourself. Other places you might visit during our Iceland Photography Holidays include the Jokulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, which is often peppered with bright white icebergs, the impressive Gullfoss Waterfall, the legendary Geysir Hot Springs and the fabulous southern coastline, which offers some of the most spellbinding scenery in Iceland.
