In one of the most famous parks in the country, the Serengeti, not only can you spot the Big Five but, if you visit after the rainy season, you’ll watch dry, barren terrain transform itself into green grasslands awash with beautiful wildflowers. Lake Manyara National Park surrounds an extraordinary soda lake which attracts an abundance of thirsty bird life. The awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the world’s largest unflooded volcanic caldera, making it a great destination for spotting different animal species in one place. The area also protects the Olduvai Gorge - where some of the oldest human remains have been discovered.
