Day 7 - Transfer from Mana Pools to Mosi-oa-Tunya
After sampling the astonishing wildlife watching opportunities at your camp in Mana Pools, it’s time to transfer to the final base on your Zimbabwe Lodge Safari. No African safari in Zimbabwe would be complete without the chance to witness the sensational Victoria Falls, found on a three corners point, a spot where the borders of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana meet. Travel to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls by road and reach your next camp, the best place to explore the region out of all the options in Zambia, Zimbabwe or Botswana! Based in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, roughly 12km from Livingstone, this lodge camp is a comfortable retreat with exceptional game viewing opportunities. All rooms are on a raised wooden desk, with wooden walkways connecting the rooms and main areas and a private outdoor deck area for guests. The wildlife in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park includes elephant and buffalo, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, bushbuck, zebra and impala, along with a myriad of local birdlife.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Days 8 to 9 - Mosi-ao-Tunya and Victoria Falls
Spend the next two days enjoying some of the sensational activities on offer at Toka Leya on your Zimbabwe Lodge Safari. This is a great opportunity to go on a guided nature walk with a Zambia Wildlife Authority Scout, or use the Scout’s expert knowledge to experience rhino tracking in the National Park! These walks are less focussed on seeing the animals and centre around the experience of tracking them, although we will still do our utmost to get a sighting. If you find the animals, the lack of a jeep means that you can actually get closer to them and, in some cases, even walk amongst the herd!
Head to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls and enjoy a guided tour of the Zambian side, or even enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River! And for those of you looking for a bit more culture on your adventure, pay a visit to a local village and school or travel to Livingstone and explore the museum! There’s so much to enjoy at this unique retreat, you really will be spoilt for choice. As you reach the final night of your safari, make sure you’ve gotten the most you can from your unforgettable African experience.Meals included:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
